Today I am thankful for . . .

374.  The gift of My Son Taking A Step of Independence as he left for a Junior High Youth Retreat with our church's youth group tonight.  Earlier in the week Mitchell informed me that he no longer wanted to attend the retreat (due to anxiety issues), but this morning he had a change of heart and was super-excited to be going.  I hope and pray he has the time of his life, experiencing God and his friends in a new way.  I am really proud of him for taking this step today, even though I know it was a huge obstacle for him to overcome in his own heart and mind.

375.  The gift of Re-uniting with Several of my Bible School Friends for supper tonight, and seeing them face-to-face.  There is a group of us that hung out 22 years ago, and we usually see each other once or twice a year.  With Facebook as an option now, we have more frequent communication, but it is always better to meet face-to-face.  Most of us are facing the 40-year old milestone this year, so it was quite special for me to see them all at this year again.  (How many times did I reference "face" in gift 375?  Too many, I think, but there was no way around it:))

376.  The gift of A Raise for Wayne.  This was totally unexpected, but very-much-appreciated news to hear when I got out of bed this morning.  If I haven't said it before, I will say it now.  My husband is amazing and I love him so much.
