More . . . Worth Quoting

"You've died to the illusion that life is fair and that every story ends happily ever after.  That's why they call them fairy tales.  You've died to the illusion that you can understand why.  None of us knows the answer to that, and those who think they do are the saddest lot of all because they've never come to the end of their own understanding.  It's not faith to say that when something painful happens, when you lose and lose again and the hurt goes so deep that you don't think you can take another breath, it's all going to work out for good. Faith doesn't explain. It doesn't even need to know or expect a happy ending. That's not what we're promised. Faith is abandoning illusions. It rests in something bigger, something beyond us and our ability." (emphasis mine)
~Chris Fabry, from the novel Dogwood~

" . . . eternity is a human stream and our stories are the rain, falling, flowing, surging, searching for an end. But there is no end. Never will be. And that's the great thing about living."
~Chris Fabry, from the novel Dogwood

"For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run their fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone. People, more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed."
~ Audrey Hepburn~

DEFINITELY worth quoting!
Another book I LOVE that you might want to read some time is, "Walking with God," by John Eldredge.
Mykal used that quote by Audrey Hepburn in the yearbook, the year she graduated. Love it!

Thanks for the book recommendation, Cons-structions. I like John Eldredge. I also want to read his book about the Gospels, but at the moment I cannot remember the name of it.
