Sing, Choirs of Angels

Today I am thankful for . . .

1022.  The gift of Starting to Decorate the House for Christmas.  It's my favourite time of year, and I love unpacking everything and getting stuff organized.  We haven't put up the tree yet, but the other decorating is done.  Hopefully the tree will go up early next week.

1023.  The gift of Our Tradition of Eating Caramel Popcorn while decorating.  Our caramel popcorn is made with Popcorn Twists, not regular popcorn.  It's carmelly-buttery-yumminess!

1024.  The gift of Tickets to watch the Saskatoon Children's Choir in Concert, as they performed "Sing, Choirs of Angels".  Our friends' daughter is in the choir, and they blessed us with tickets to the performance, which was very excellent!  The music was almost entirely classical, and the concert was held in a very old United Church, with a cathedral ceiling, beautiful architecture and stained glass.  I felt like I was this close to heaven as I listened to the beautiful voices of both girls and (a few) boys, ranging in age from 6 to 18 years.  An extra bonus was spending the evening with this family.  To say that we all (i.e. our entire family) love and adore this family, would be an understatement.  I wish so much that we would have "found" them sooner, but I guess I'll be content with God's timing and realize that we need them in our lives right now, and revel in the beauty of our friendship.

Popcorn Twists! I had forgotten all about those! I haven't eaten popcorn twists in likely 25 years or so. I never would have even thought to use them for caramel popcorn.

We just got our tree up last night. Isaac is beside himself with excitement.
