Today I am thankful for . . .
1059. The gift of No Glasses for Ty and An Upgrade in Lenses for Mitchell. Today was appointment day. The boys both saw the eye doctor, and once again, the optometrist reported Ty's vision is about as perfect as it can get, which is a plus for him, because he really, really, really doesn't want to have glasses. Mitchell's prescription was tweaked a bit, and thankfully, he's totally okay with having to wear glasses. He actually likes having glasses.
1060. The gift of Clean Teeth. We also saw the dentist today . . . all three of us have one cavity each:( but now our teeth are as white as they'll be for yet another year. Good news from the dentist--neither of the boys will need braces, for which I am very thankful. I'm not sure how that happened . . . Wayne should have had braces (but chose not to--his parents actually gave him a choice in the matter, which I think was a bad parenting decision), and I did have braces . . . so, the fact that our kids have teeth as nice as they do (without help) is quite a miracle if you ask me.
1061. The gift of A Fun Day with My Boys. I surprised them today by letting them know that they could choose brand new skates at Canadian Tire. They've never had new skates in their life, so they were pretty excited. We usually take them to a place called The Skate Exchange, but the last time we did that (2 years ago), we found that the second-hand skates were almost as expensive as brand new skates, and with Canadian Tire's major sale on skates right now, we got a great deal and probably spent less than if we had taken them back to the second-hand store.
