Blue

So, you may have noticed that the appearance of my blog has changed . . . I wanted something more "summery", and as it turns out, I was drawn to a dandelion blowing in the wind amidst a blue theme.  We have a lot of dandelions on our acreage, so that's probably why this particular photo resonated with me . . .

Unfortunately, that's not the only thing that's blue around here.  I'm a little blue myself.  I'm in a melancholic state after reading an e-mail this evening that has affected my life in a way that I'm not so sure about.  I know I'm being extremely ambiguous with this statement, but honestly, that's all I can say right now.  I have complete confidence that the situation is going to turn out in accordance to what God has planned for me, and I take great solace in that.  I am just a bit disappointed . . . and I think it's okay to be disappointed when something we hoped for did not come to fruition, but it's just important for me to get out of my state of "blue" as soon as possible, trusting that God's ways are bigger and better than my own.

Today, my son was also blue--blue in the sense that he was wearing blue clothes, which bring out the brightness of his blue eyes, which I think are a.m.a.z.i.n.g.

So, today I am thankful for . . .
