Someone Else Said It Better

Sometimes I struggle with "God's Will For My Life".  Notice I wrote that in capital letters.  That's how important I've made "it".  I think many of us find it difficult to know exactly the path God wants us to follow.  We have been given the gift of free-will, which in and of itself, can lead us down many paths--not one necessarily better or more clear to follow than another, but yet, we face decisions on a daily basis that somehow affect the future of our lives.  So, when someone asks me how to "know" what God's Will For Their Life Is . . .  ? ? ? ? I lack definitive answers.  Why?  Because I am not God.  I do not see "The Big Picture".  I am only human and my finite mind cannot answer the mysteries of life.  However, I DO know that the most important step anyone can take in their life is to CHOOSE TO FOLLOW GOD.  By that, I mean, acknowlege you are a sinner, accept Jesus Christ's forgiveness and strive to follow God in accordance to His Word, The Bible.  Sounds simple, right?  Well yes, initially it does.  And in many ways it is.  But there is so much more to it that we do not, and cannot understand about what happens in life.  After the decision to follow Christ is made, life continues to present challenges and unanswered questions.  But I truly believe that if our foundation in a Living God is sound, He will see us through anything.

(I did not intend to write as much as I just did.  All I wanted was a preamble to introduce you to another blogger's thoughts on all of this, which I embrace wholeheartedly.  You can read his post here.)

Today I am thanful for . . .

329.  The gift of Other Bloggers and Their Thoughts.

330.  The gift of Spreading Light.

331.  The gift of Receiving a Verse from the Holy Spirit to Share with a Friend in the moment it was most needed.

This is such a good point, Kim! I always cling to the verse, "be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances for this is God's will for you." Perhaps His will is much more simple than think.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. :)

Thanks Kimmy. I needed that... There seems to be much gray in the temporal. Praise God for His certainty of salvation.
