Time is ticking; I've got so much to do . . .
I have no energy and my house looks like a zoo!

There are gifts to buy and goodies to bake . . .
but I don't know how much more of this I can take!

My day zooms by with no end in sight
to all the work I have to do by night.

I can hardly wait until a week's time has passed
because that means all I'm dealing with is the after-math

from all the busyness, chaos, wrapping and mess
Finally, finally I'll be able to rest.
