Okay, so I admit it. Summertime blogging isn't as easy to keep up with as it is in winter. I've been trying to post daily, but I've resigned myself to the fact that I can only post about once or twice a week right now. I'm still trying to keep up with My Life is RADical but that has been a challenge as well. F.Y.I. if anyone checks that blog today . . . sorry, no post. Check back tomorrow. Hopefully I can get something posted within the next 48 hours.
This week is Vacation Bible School at our church. We live about 35 minutes away from our church, so combined with driving and the actual "Bible School" time, I'm gone from home 5 hours each evening. I'm helping out with registration and wherever else assistance is needed. Tomorrow the entire group is heading off to Redberry Bible Camp FOR THE DAY. My boys are so excited!
I'm excited too, because for the first time in his life, Tyrone is actually attending a church activity without experiencing separation anxiety from his mommy. I thought this day would never come. I'm so grateful for his development in this area over the past four months or so. He's a completely different kid. I praise God for this huge blessing. It's been a long time in coming, but I'm glad "the day" has finally arrived. Just to prove to myself how far Ty's come, I'm not attending the camp day. He doesn't even want me there. Go figure.
In other news . . . one of my best friends in the whole wide world is coming to visit from Sunday to Tuesday. I can't wait to see her. She lives quite far from me and I have yet to meet her baby (who is now 17 months old!!!). Apart from being involved in VBS, my days have been spent getting the house ready for visitors. I can't wait to see my friend. Oh, did I say that already? Yes, I did.
Hope you're having a great day, week and summer!

Great news all around! Enjoy your friend's visit, and I'll check back at your RAD blog a little later. :~)
You know what's crazy Kimmy? I sit in front of the computer most of the day and I'm having the hardest time finding the time to blog and comment!! I'm not sure where my time is going either because I sure am not accomplishing anything.
How nice that your going to have a visit from your friend! I have a friend originally from England but now living in the states coming for a visit right after surgery next week! I hope I'm up to the company, but she won't mind how scary I look. Have fun a VBS! One of my very favorite things to do at church is work at VBS.
I really have meant to email you a nice long letter and just "talk" and get to know you more. Please forgive me for slacking off! Just know you're in my thoughts and prayers.
Love, Amy
My son John attended Little Boots Camp at Redberry, July 2 & 3. It was so good to be back - I wanted to stay, not because he needed me to be there, but because I love that place and I want to go back!!
Do you mean to say you let your boys go to Redberry and you didn't want to go? Good for you! but obviously you and I are at different places.
We just spent a week in Saskatoon so our older two boys could attend VBS at Ebenezer. With over 200 kids, they had a blast! Our church here doesn't have a VBS program.
Have a great summer!
