Thankful 500 Times!

Today I am thankful for . . .

(WOW!  I am at 500!  Yipppeeee!)
500.  The gift of A Passing Storm.  There were threats of tornadoes in our area yesterday, but in the exact spot that we live, all we got was a tiny bit more wind and some spitting rain.

501.  The gift of An Excellent Year-End Meeting with our school division's homeschooling facilitator.  She is a very encouraging lady, and she was able to answer a lot of my questions regarding the whole high school issue.  The two most-frequently-asked questions I get regarding homeschooling are:  "What are you going to do with them once you get to high school?" and, "How can you homeschool and work at the same time?"  Seriously, people.  There are answers to both--and no one needs to worry their pretty little heads over it.

502.  The gift of Mowed Lawn.  It has been SO wet here for the past two weeks--we haven't been able to mow the many, many acres of grass that normally get done on a weekly basis.  Finally it was dry enough today to get started on it.  The boys will finish it up tomorrow.

Ahhhh, yes...the endless lawn/weed mowing. We did all of ours with one push mower for my entire life on the farm. That is one of the things that I don't really miss all that much. It used to take us two days to get everything done, then it would rain, everything would grow a foot overnight, then we would start all over again.

We leave for Montreal Monday for a few days, will be back in Boston for less than a day, then will be flying to S'toon. How flexible is your schedule if we try to meet up for coffee at some point? We have had some changes in our schedule and haven't sat down to work out our Sask. plans much yet, but we will be back and forth through S'toon a few times, I think. The one major change we have had is that we will now be coming home on the 6th, so the original date that I thought I would be available, I will no longer even be in the country. I will try to shoot you an email when I get specifics.

Congrats on making 500!

Michelle: I'd LOVE to see you! I'll e-mail you my info and that way we can try to make something work. I've got Vacation Bible School the first week of July, so I'll be in the city every day.
