Boring or Bored?

I've come to the realization that my blogging days may be coming to an end in the very near future.

My traffic and comments are down considerably, so I feel like there's no one really reading this thing anymore . . . so either they don't come anymore because this blog is boring, or they only come when they're bored. "They" refers to you--the unfortunate individual who may actually be reading this right now.

My life is so busy with so much other stuff. I enjoy writing, but I feel like I've been in a serious writer's block for the past three months, and I'm not sure that I've got a whole lot of topical insight anymore. Perhaps this has something to do with the fact that I currently am suffering from a horrible head cold and my congestion level hit an all-time high today. The cold began to emerge last Tuesday and doesn't appear to be leaving anytime soon.

I know many people blog and Facebook. I like both. Both have their pros and cons. And it's not that I want to "choose" Facebook over blogging . . . I actually prefer the blogging world over Facebook-ing, but really, who am I kidding? I can barely find time to run my household right now, let alone writing blog posts and connecting on Facebook.

Maybe we should just get rid of the computer.

Hi Kim. I use RSS Reader so I see your posts whenever you post something, but I don't necessarily show up as 'visiting' your blog. I still like reading what's going on in your life despite the fact that your posting is sporadic. I'd be sad if you were to give up your blog.

Oh please don't stop blogging! I enjoy your updates and following how things are going. I read every post you make, though I know I am not always that great about skipping back to your blog from my feed reader and commenting all of the time. I still remember how excited I was to find a great blog written by someone from my hometown and I would hate to lose that now.

If anyone is boring in their blogging lately, it is me. I haven't written anything worth reading all summer long, but with good reason. I hope to have some kind of update posted within the next day or two.

Seriously, your blog is far from boring and I always love when I get a new update from you. I hope and pray that everything is going well for you and your family...Thomas especially, as you haven't given a recent update, so I hope he is doing as well as can be expected in his situation.

we're still here! I use a feed reader too, so I jump over whenever you've got something new up. (that also means that if you take a break, I just pick up where you left off... less pressure??) :)

Whatever you decide, I'm praying your health strengthens and that you have a terrific year with your family.

Hi Kim, I really enjoy reading your blog and like the others mentioned I also use a feed reader too, so whenever you have something new I check it out. I'm not that great at leaving comments, sorry, I just never know what to say. I've been struggling with the whole Blogging and Facebook thing too and I'm about ready to unplug. I just can't keep up with everything. Please keep posting when you can.

I still read. Even if I don't comment all the time. But I know what you mean about the time and inspiration things. I wouldn't cut it right off, just don't feel pressured if you can't come up with something. Us loyal readers will still pop in from time to time to see how you're doing.

(You're never boring. You're Kimtastic.)

Hi Kimmie, I was getting your comments on Facebook this morning. I wonder if you were getting my replies. Hmmm. I know what you mean about blogging though. I see a lot of other ladies slowly getting away from it. It seems overwhelming somedays because I feel the pressure to post something everyday. And I just can't.

I do love reading about what's happening in your life and having the opportunity to pray for you! I know though that if you decide to quit though that we can email each other, right?!! I hope so!

Happy to hear that your foot is healing nicely!

The joys and sorrows of blogging. So hard-it can really begin to control you and you start to become a people pleaser. (talking about me and not about you Kimmy). I continue on, as I feel that whether anyone comes or not, that He has called me to share our story. My prayer is to be an influence and to make an impact for His glory with my life.

I don't have a facebook...can't balance anymore. I do want to enjoy my children and not look back wishing that I hadn't spent my life in front of the computer screen.

Praying for wisdom for you...I hope you'll continue on, as I enjoy sharing in your life.

okay so I've been missing in action and honestly had thought I would do the same but I miss all of my blogging friends.. I just wanted to write to say- Don't stop! Keep posting-

it's hard to really believe but in some ways I feel very connected with all of my blogging friends. It's hard to imagine that we could be so connected and have never really ever met face to face...

I would also be sad to not be able to read your blog! :)
