Life As We Know It . . . Will Remain Unchanged

I just wanted to thank you all for your prayers and let you know that Wayne was not selected as a potential employee for the job he was vying for today. There were 100+ people pursuing this job, with only 16 positions available. But, it is definitely something he would like to apply for again, should the opportunity arise in the future. For now, we are just trusting that God will continue to provide direction for Wayne's employment situation.

Life As We Know It

Life as we know it may be altered by the end of the week. I don't have time to go into much detail as to the ifs, ands and buts of the situation, but I am asking for your prayers on behalf of my husband. Tomorrow morning he begins the process of becoming a potential employee for a major company . . . not as a welder, but as something a lot more intriguing. Please pray that he does well tomorrow in the Information Session and aptitude testing for his future potential employer. If he does well, he'll be called for an interview to occur either Wednesday or Thursday of this week. Following that, he will have to undergo a criminal security check and medical testing. As of Friday, we may be on a whole new journey as a family (not a literal journey . . . we're not moving . . . I'm speaking figuratively here).

Please pray that both Wayne and I will have a sense of peace with regards to our future and more specifically, new employment for him. He has been struggling with his current workplace for a few months now, and it's really time for a change. And this may be just the change he's needing.

I'll keep you posted as the week goes on. Thanks for your prayers.

The Good Old Days

Wayne came across these photos that were taken at Wal-Mart way back in December 2002. Mitchell was just barely three years old and Ty was 18 months old when these pictures were taken. I love these pictures. And oh, how I long for the boys to be that little again. Honestly, I'm having a lot of trouble dealing with the fact that my boys are growing up so fast. Too fast. I know I shouldn't wallow in self-pity over this--but I am. I miss my toddler & pre-schooler . . .

(Thankful for) Wayne's World

This is a combination post to wish my hubby a happy 40th birthday (on Sunday, October 12th) as well as to wish my Canadian friends a Happy Thanksgiving.

I've got lots to say but not enough time to say it all in; however, I did not want to let October 12th pass by without at least acknowledging Wayne's big day.

And, since I've got a few minutes, I'll list some things I'm thankful for:
~an everlasting heavenly father that never gives up on me;
~my parents and extended family who are the best in the world;
~a husband who, despite my many shortcomings (and yes, there are many), still tells me "I love you" a zillion times a day;
~my boys . . . they never cease to entertain me;
~my job . . . I couldn't ask for anything better;
~provisions--I have SO much;
~sleep . . . of which I am deprived of at the moment. It's only 3:00 p.m. and I'm already ready for bed.

I hope you all have a great weekend!
